Gladstone Bioinformatics

Overview of Gladstone Bioinformatics

We are a dynamic team of data analysts, statisticians and programmers offering collaboration on research projects, as well as consulting and training. Through our expertise in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and systems biology, we can assist with experimental design, power analysis, sequence analysis, statistical modeling, pathway and network analysis, visualization, data cleaning and integration, figure generation, and technical writing. We also develop novel methods, software tools and resources adopted by researchers worldwide. Rely on us for:

  • Consulting (experimental design, statistical consultation, training, software development, etc)
  • Analyzing primary data (sequencing data, other omics data, genotype data or phenotype data, etc)
  • Integrating data (statistical modeling, pathway analysis, public data mining, etc)
  • Visualizing data (figure generation, pathway modeling, interactive web displays, etc)
  • Developing methods and tools (algorithms, pipeilnes and custom programming, etc)
  • Teaching (workshops and tailored training events on biostatistics and analysis methods, etc)

Our team consists of several individuals with formal training in statistics, bioinformatics, and computer science, and should be able handle almost any question that involves experimental design, bioinformatics, statistical analysis, programming, or figure generation.

Let's Publish Together

Our core staff are career scientists too! We often make substantial contributions to projects leading to co-authorship and grant application collaborations. For basic routine analysis, we request acknowledgement in publications, e.g., We thank Dr. XYZ of the Gladstone Bioinformatics Core for their assistance with statistical and bioinformatics analysis.

Let's Learn Together

In collaboration UCSF's Bakar CHSI, we have built a training program tailored for Gladstone and UCSF researchers. Organized into learning series, we offer half-day workshops throughout the year on topics ranging from biostats and sequence analysis to R scripting and HPC computing to network analysis and pathway modeling. We can also work with you to prepare tutorials tailored to your lab or department.
